“the body as a teacher, with my thoughts and feelings as my guide”
The body is an interesting vehicle - appearing as one, yet many different systems intertwined and interacting at every moment.
As time passes, more and more I respect the inner wisdom that is already there and the answers within should we choose to seek; every illness, physical ailment, issue, limiting belief, emotional response and learned behaviours ready to be enquired, addressed and reviewed. We are living, moving pictures always with the potential for change at any moment, should we so choose.
It is a life-long journey - for many there can be lots of reasons why it is difficult to feel connected to their body, living and directing their lives from their head. Whether due to trauma, shock, abuse, emotional disconnection or soul loss.
So how can we begin the journey to come back to wholeness, back to ourselves?
Self-awareness
✨ Recognising our thoughts and words - where do they come from and what do we really mean when we say them?
✨ Recognise our feelings - why does one choice feel great, whilst another maybe not so? How do we feel about certain situations and people and how does that compare with our deepest desires? This is the learning.
✨ Going back to basics on what our body needs in the moment; rest when you feel tired, eat when you are hungry, drink when you are thirsty, move when you feel stiff.
✨ Creating space; space in our lives to be still, reflect, take in the world and scenery around us, allow ourselves to be inspired.
Step-by-step all these will gradually help lead us back to a place of balance. 💜✨
